Common questions, straight answers
Everything you need to know about our products, the science behind them, and how to get the most from them.
Products & Quality
What is the difference between fruiting body and mycelium on grain?
This applies to our mushroom line. The fruiting body is the actual mushroom — the part you would recognize. Mycelium is the root-like network that grows through the growing medium (substrate). "Mycelium on grain" (MOG) is mycelium grown on grain substrate and dried without separating the two. Independent analyses have found MOG products can contain 50–80% grain starch by weight, significantly diluting the bioactive compounds. Every Healvo mushroom formula uses 100% fruiting body — never mycelium on grain.
What are beta-glucans and why does the percentage matter?
For the mushroom products: Beta-glucans are polysaccharides — the primary bioactive compounds in medicinal mushrooms responsible for most of the studied health benefits. The percentage on the label tells you how much of the product is actually active compound. A fruiting body extract at 30% beta-glucans delivers 150mg of beta-glucans per 500mg capsule. A mycelium-on-grain product at 5% delivers only 25mg per 500mg capsule — the same label size, very different product. The standardization we formulate to is published on every mushroom product page and verified per batch.
Are your products third-party tested?
Yes. Every batch is independently tested by ISO-certified laboratories for potency — the actual amount of each active and its standardized marker, which means beta-glucans for the mushroom extracts, EPA and DHA for fish oil, and CFU counts for probiotics — plus purity, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury), and microbial contaminants. We make Certificates of Analysis (COAs) available on request — contact us at the email in the footer.
Where are the current formulas manufactured?
Our Wave 1 manufacturing specification names Richtek Ltd. in Dalian, China. Check the finished product label for the country of manufacture.
Are your products vegan?
Not all formulas are vegan. Morning Ritual contains bovine collagen; Collagen Peptides + C also contains bovine collagen, and Omega-3 Triple Strength contains fish oil. HPMC capsule shells alone do not establish that a whole formula is vegan. Check each finished product label.
Are your products gluten-free?
Yes. Nothing we make contains gluten, and the mushroom line contains no grain substrate. Every product is tested for allergens per lot.
What's in the capsules besides the actives?
A hypromellose vegetarian capsule and, where a capsule would otherwise be under-filled, a named excipient — microcrystalline cellulose and a trace of silica in ClearMind Lift and Daily Probiotic 30B. We print every one with its amount. Nothing is hidden inside a blend.
When do the coming-soon products ship?
We don't publish dates until product is on the shelf. Join the waitlist on any coming-soon page and we'll email you the day it ships — nothing else, ever.
Does Hydrate Electrolytes have sugar?
No. It is sweetened only with monk fruit extract; there is no sugar, stevia, erythritol or other sugar alcohol. The Unflavored version has no sweetener at all.
Do I need to load creatine?
No. 5 g a day saturates muscle stores in about 3–4 weeks. Loading only gets you there faster and is optional.
Does the probiotic need refrigeration?
No. The three strains are stabilised at very low water activity in a desiccant-integrated bottle and count is guaranteed to expiry at room temperature. Store below 25 °C with the lid tight.
Using Our Products
How long until I feel effects?
It depends on the mechanism. Caffeine-based products (ClearMind Lift, the coffee and matcha) act within the hour. Electrolytes and glycine act the same day. Creatine saturates over 3–4 weeks. Mushroom extracts, collagen and omega-3 build over 8–12 weeks of daily use. Each product page states its own timeline.
What time of day should I take them?
Take ClearMind with food and Daily Calm with the morning meal. Prepare Morning Ritual in the morning. Mix Daily Mushrooms into coffee, cocoa or a smoothie. Take ZenRest 45-60 minutes before bed with food containing dietary fat. Follow each finished product label.
Can I take multiple products together?
Compare ingredient lists first. ClearMind and Morning Ritual both contain citicoline; Morning Ritual and Immune Support contain vitamin D; several formulas contain Reishi; both ZenRest formulas contain glycine. Ask a healthcare provider before combining products, especially if you take medication.
Should I take them with food?
Take ClearMind with food, Daily Calm with the morning meal, and ZenRest with food containing dietary fat. Mix Daily Mushrooms into a flavorful carrier. Follow the preparation instructions and finished label for each product.
Are there any interactions with medications?
Anyone pregnant or nursing, under 18, on prescription medication (especially blood thinners, blood-pressure or diabetes medication, SSRIs or sedatives), or with kidney, heart or immune conditions should consult a healthcare provider first. Each product page lists its specific cautions.

Science & Research
Are supplements FDA approved?
Dietary supplements are not FDA approved before sale in the way medicines are. Manufacturers are responsible for product safety and truthful labeling. Statements about these products have not been evaluated by the FDA; they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Where can I read the research behind each product?
Every product page lists its key actives with dose, standardization and, where one anchors the dose, the human trial. Our editorial standards page explains how we choose them.
Do these supplements really work?
Honest answer: it depends on the product, the dose and the person. We only formulate where there is human evidence, we dose to it, and we tell you the timeline. Where evidence is thin we say so on the product page.
